Minxing Si

My name is Minxing Si. I am a master student at the Natural Resources Institute, University of Manitoba. I am now pursuing my second master degree of Natural Resources Management. My interests are: 1) energy efficiency and sustainable development; and 2) Policy for carbon credit trading. My thesis is focused on energy efficiency and sustainable development in a steel company in Canada. The project is to identify the feasibility of energy efficiency, propose efficiency production process and explore the carbon credit trading potentials. I presented my research on an international conference (Bioenergy 2010) in June 2010.

I have gained my first master degree in Shanghai Jiaotong University, China (2004-2007). After graduation, I joined an international chemical company (2007-2009). My responsibility was to analyze energy markets, energy costs, and energy purchasing strategies for the company.
