I) Powder X-ray Diffractometer:

PANalytical X'Pert Pro System:

  • Cu Ka1 + Ka2 with Ni filter
  • Cu Ka1 with incident beam monochromator
  • Bragg-Brentano geometry
  • flat plate spinner sample holder
  • high temperature furnace Tmax = 25000C and with variable atmospheres up to 13000C permits time-dependent and temperature dependent experiments.
  • capillary spinner

 

 

 

 

II) Simultaneous TGA/DTA/DSC:

Linseis L81-I/1600:

  • Tmax = 14000C

  • variety of atmospheres up to Tmax
    inert gases: N2, Ar, He
    vacuum: dynamic and static
    oxidative: air, O2,CO2
    reductive: CO, H2 (dilute to 100%)

  • can be operated in 3 modes:
    a. TGA only (large sample option > 5 g)
    b. TGA - DTA (typically 100mg samples)
    c. TGA - DSC (typically < 50 mg samples)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

III) High temperature furnace laboratory:

  • box furnaces (air) (Tmax = 11000C)

  • muffle furnaces (air) (Tmax = 12000C)

  • tube furnaces (Tmax = 15000C) with
    diverse atmopsheresand custom gas mixing ability:

    vacuum: dynamic and static
    oxidative: O2, Cl2 ,CO2
    reductive: CO, H2 (dilute to 100%)

  • glass blowing table for (sealing samples etc.)
