Dr. Birouk received his MSc (DEA) and PhD from the University of Orleans and CNRS, France, and his BSc (Ingénieur d'Etat) from the University of Constantine, Algeria
Prior to joining the University of Manitoba as Assistant Professor in 2001, Dr. Birouk held Postdoctoral Fellow position at the University of Waterloo (Canada), Research Associate at the University of Maryland (USA), and Research Associate at Rolls- Royce Research Technology Center at the University of Nottingham (England).
