Title: Information Technology and the Non-Traditional Organization: An Exploratory Study into the Accounting Industry

This was a study of 12 local offices of five large public accounting firms, that tested in a preliminary fashion a new model of non-bureaucractic organizing. Some of the dimensions included in the model were usage of information technology (e.g., electronic mail, electronic file transfer, shared computer-based databases, telephone), centralization, sharing of accountability among team mates, trust and information/knowledge exchange. One of the findings was that the usage of information technology related positively to a non-bureaucratic structure and culture. References
