Computer-Aided Personalized System of Instruction

Computer-aided personalized system of instruction (CAPSI) is a unique method of teaching used at the University of Manitoba. Various undergraduate courses are being taught using the CAPSI system.

The CAPSI system:

  • incorporates a proven effective educational tool called personalized system of instruction (PSI) or the Keller Plan
  • facilitates generating:
    • questions
    • exercises
    • problems
    that initiate student inquiry and the development of higher-order thinking skills
  • automates administrative functions
