Chuang Research Group
Laboratory of Nanoscale Materials
The group has broad interests in nanomechanical characterization and atomistic scale simulations in physical and chemical properties of nanoscale materials.

Research Interests

  • Synthesis, processing, and mechanical characterization of nano-structured metallic coatings, thin films and nanocomposites.
  • Atomistic mechanisms of the yielding and plasticity in nano particles, nanowires, nanocrystalline metals and metallic glasses.
  • Kinetics of grain boundary and triple junctions.
  • Interaction of nanowires/nano particles/carbon nanotubes and bio-molecules.
