Biography

Dr. Hugo Bergen received his Bachelor of Science (Hons.) degree from the University of Manitoba in 1980.  He then moved to Vancouver where he earned his Ph.D. at the University of British Columbia under the supervision of Dr. P.C.K.Leung.  He worked briefly as a post-doctoral fellow at UBC before moving to New York City where he was a post-doctoral fellow for 3 years in the laboratory of Dr. D.W. Pfaff (Laboratory of Neurobiology and Behavior) at The Rockefeller University.  He joined the Dept. of Human Anatomy & Cell Science, University of Manitoba in 1992.
