Lab work in Dr. Ivanco's Neurobiology of Learning and Memory Laboratory

I am not hiring anyone for lab work in the immediate future.

I will accept and review any resumes (see below for info) for those interested in volunteering in the lab or interested in doing an honors project or independent studies project. See me early about lab work if possible.
Generally, I recommend working in the lab for a while prior to doing an honors project. Although it is not required, I prefer students to have a bit of a science background.

For your resume I am interested in knowing why you think you would like to work in my lab and why you might be suited for this. This does not have to be long.
Please include: a statement of your interests and why you think you would like to work in this particular lab and provide a list of classes you have taken (the course as well as grade you recieved). An email message indicating this would be appropriate.

Areas of interest for potential projects for students:
Plasticity
Motor skill learning
Electrophysiology
Animal models of Developmental disorders

Note that these areas require a serious commitment of time. Honor's students should expect to spend an average of about 10/hours per week working on their projects (either within the laboratory or reading appropriately, consultation with instructor & lab members, etc). Independent studies students should expect to spend approximately 7/hours per week on their project. Volunteers will have a more flexible schedule, but are also expected to have a serious commitment to the laboratory in terms of time.
