Chaturvedi is a world leader in the area of superalloys and grain-boundary engineering. His pioneering work in these areas has led to breakthroughs in superalloy welding which has had a profound effect on the aerospace industry and has led to many prestigious awards. He currently holds a Tier 1 CRC in Aerospace Materials (and an NSERC Industrial Research Chair since 1995). In the proposed research, he will use ESCA/Auger, SIMS and SPM for definitive research in the field of grain-boundary engineering of superalloys. |
