BIRCH - Make symbolic links

miniBIRCH is a subset of a complete BIRCH installation, containing only those directories that need to be changed at each local BIRCH site. In this step, we make symbolic links to master copies of a complete BIRCH installation elsewhere on the system. In effect, each user who installs miniBIRCH will appear to have their own complete BIRCH installation.

The syntax for makelinks.csh is

makelinks.csh master_birch_directory

If the master copy of BIRCH was in /home/psgendb/BIRCHDEV, the following steps would create the proper links:

cd $home/install-birch
makelinks.csh /home/psgendb/BIRCHDEV
cd
ls -l
