This directory has the contents of the .tar.gz directory that was downloaded. The install procedures required by quast (install.sh and setup.py) require root permissions. I did an install on brassica (Ubuntu) and then copied the Python egg directory to /home/psgendb/BIRCHDEV/local/python/lib64/python2.7/dist-packages. Interestingly, the install on flamingo makes it look as if all you need are the files that come in the tar.gz to create a Quast report. If that is true, then we don't need all the other things that get compiled and installed by the install scripts. Further work is needed on this point.
