Introduction
This chapter gives an overview, describes the changes since
Version 1, and discusses the kinds of images which are allowed.
The maintainer of this document will attempt to maintain an
on-line version of this Guide as well as a Postscript version which
can be ftp'd. Unfortunately, one version will not always look
like the other. Look for specific differences in the Figures and in
the way displayed "buttons" are represented.
- The figures in the Postscript version
will be grayscale whereas the on-line version contains GIF-colored
figures. The figures themselves should be numbered consistently
between versions. The figure-numbering scheme is sequential within
a chapter; thus, Figure 4.5 would appear in Chapter 4 but not
necessarily in Chapter 4, Section 5.
- Operating the program consists almost entirely of using a mouse
to move a cursor to a displayed "button" and clicking the button.
In the Postscript version, a button is labeled and enclosed in a box.
In the HTML version, a button is designated as [Press].
