The future of ACEDB

Introduction

These pages are an attempt to gather together lots of ideas that are floating around about how acedb might develop in the future. Consequently they are changed as new ideas emerge and existing ones are revised. The intention is that anyone should be able to contribute their ideas to how they think ACEDB should develop.

and I will incorporate them into these pages.

Document structure

The documents are divided up into three main sections:

Short term: changes for the next few months to a year
Medium term: changes over the next 1-2 years
Long term: changes over the next 2-5 years

Each section is further subdivided into 'developer' and 'user' changes, the intention being that if, for example, you are a user of acedb and want to see what changes are being considered in the next 1-2 years you can go straight to the relevant section.
