In LibreOffice Draw, open birch_white_version.odg
Change version number to new number
Edit --> Select all
File --> Export to birch_white_version.png
Before saving, click on Selection box so that only the selection is saved,
  and not the entire blank background.
# New version of LibreOffice seems to put a grid into the picture
# if we don't save transparency. I had to put a white rectangle behind
# the image to make the background white.
#Unselect "Save Transparency"
Read png file into GIMP
Tools --> Transform tools --> Scale to 80%
Image --> Autocrop Image
Export As --> birch_white_version.png
