btail.py - Print
the contents of a file, beginning at line x.
btail.py x infile outfile
This script is a substitute for the
Unix tail command. Previously, 'tail +x' would print the contents
of a file, beginning at line x. With Fedora 5, and possibly other
Linux distributions, this syntax is no longer supported. The new
Linux syntax is 'tail -n x'. However, this syntax is NOT supported
on Solaris, or earlier Linux releases. Therefore, there is no
longer a universally acceptible syntax for this function.
