DNA/GUI requires a graphics workstation of the SUN SPARCstation or Digital DECstation class. The workstation should have 8-bit color capability and three-button mouse. Operation of DNA/GUI is independent of the mode of image acquisition which can be performed with, for example, a CCD camera, video camera, or flat-bed scanner.
DNA/GUI requires the workstation run the X Window System, Version 11, Release 4 or later, and the UNIX operating system. DNA/GUI may be obtained via anonymous ftp; additional information may be obtained by contacting one of the sources mentioned in the front of this User's Guide. The executable program is named "dui".
