3.4 Locate Lane Boundaries

The left and right boundaries of each of the lanes in the image are determined automatically. The number of lanes identified is based on the number of lanes defined in the gel-format file. After the program performs its automatic-detection process, which takes only a few seconds, you may accept the results or you may "edit" or adjust the lane boundaries. When you are finished, each lane is labeled.

On color displays, this stripe is red.
