In order to get clustalw to read the help file from 
any directory, I hade to change a line in amenu.c, to
hard-code the path '/home/psgendb/doc/clustalw/clustalw_help'.
Thus, the executable has to be recompiled if moved. 
the current version can be gotten from ftp.ebi.ac.uk
in pub/software/unix.
