_A_u_s_t_r_a_l_i_a_n _A_I_D_S _S_u_r_v_i_v_a_l _D_a_t_a

_D_e_s_c_r_i_p_t_i_o_n:

     Data on patients diagnosed with AIDS in Australia before 1 July
     1991.

_U_s_a_g_e:

     Aids2

_F_o_r_m_a_t:

     This data frame contains 2843 rows and the following columns:

     '_s_t_a_t_e' Grouped state of origin: '"NSW "'includes ACT and
          '"other"' is WA, SA, NT and TAS.

     '_s_e_x' Sex of patient.

     '_d_i_a_g' (Julian) date of diagnosis.

     '_d_e_a_t_h' (Julian) date of death or end of observation.

     '_s_t_a_t_u_s' '"A"' (alive) or '"D"' (dead) at end of observation.

     '_T._c_a_t_e_g' Reported transmission category.

     '_a_g_e' Age (years) at diagnosis.


_N_o_t_e:

     This data set has been slightly jittered as a condition of its
     release, to ensure patient confidentiality.
