calcium package:boot R Documentation _C_a_l_c_i_u_m _U_p_t_a_k_e _D_a_t_a _D_e_s_c_r_i_p_t_i_o_n: The 'calcium' data frame has 27 rows and 2 columns. Howard Grimes from the Botany Department, North Carolina State University, conducted an experiment for biochemical analysis of intracellular storage and transport of calcium across plasma membrane. Cells were suspended in a solution of radioactive calcium for a certain length of time and then the amount of radioactive calcium that was absorbed by the cells was measured. The experiment was repeated independently with 9 different times of suspension each replicated 3 times. _U_s_a_g_e: calcium _F_o_r_m_a_t: This data frame contains the following columns: '_t_i_m_e' The time (in minutes) that the cells were suspended in the solution. '_c_a_l' The amount of calcium uptake (nmoles/mg). _S_o_u_r_c_e: The data were obtained from Rawlings, J.O. (1988) _Applied Regression Analysis_. Wadsworth and Brooks/Cole Statistics/Probability Series. _R_e_f_e_r_e_n_c_e_s: Davison, A.C. and Hinkley, D.V. (1997) _Bootstrap Methods and Their Application_. Cambridge University Press.
