_E_x_t_r_a_c_t _F_i_x_e_d _E_f_f_e_c_t_s

_D_e_s_c_r_i_p_t_i_o_n:

     This function is generic; method functions can be written to
     handle specific classes of objects. Classes which already have
     methods for this function include 'lmList' and 'lme'.

_U_s_a_g_e:

     fixed.effects(object, ...)
     fixef(object, ...)

_A_r_g_u_m_e_n_t_s:

  object: any fitted model object from which fixed effects estimates
          can be extracted.

     ...: some methods for this generic function require additional
          arguments.

_V_a_l_u_e:

     will depend on the method function used; see the appropriate
     documentation.
