_E_x_t_r_a_c_t _R_e_s_p_o_n_s_e _V_a_r_i_a_b_l_e _f_r_o_m _a_n _O_b_j_e_c_t

_D_e_s_c_r_i_p_t_i_o_n:

     This function is generic; method functions can be written to
     handle specific classes of objects. Classes which already have
     methods for this function include 'data.frame', 'gls', 'lme', and
     'lmList'.

_U_s_a_g_e:

     getResponse(object, form)

_A_r_g_u_m_e_n_t_s:

  object: any object

    form: an optional two-sided formula. Defaults to 'formula(object)'.

_V_a_l_u_e:

     will depend on the method function used; see the appropriate
     documentation.
