_C_h_e_c_k _i_f _a _m_o_d_e_l_S_t_r_u_c_t _O_b_j_e_c_t _N_e_e_d_s _U_p_d_a_t_i_n_g

_D_e_s_c_r_i_p_t_i_o_n:

     This method function checks if any of the elements of 'object'
     needs to be updated. Updating of objects usually takes place in
     iterative algorithms in which auxiliary quantities associated with
     the object, and not being optimized over, may change.

_U_s_a_g_e:

     ## S3 method for class 'modelStruct':
     needUpdate(object)

_A_r_g_u_m_e_n_t_s:

  object: an object inheriting from class 'modelStruct', representing a
          list of model components, such as 'corStruct' and 'varFunc'
          objects.

_V_a_l_u_e:

     a logical value indicating whether any element of 'object' needs
     to be updated.
