_P_r_e-_c_o_m_p_u_t_a_t_i_o_n_s _f_o_r _a _P_l_o_t_t_i_n_g _O_b_j_e_e_c_t

_D_e_s_c_r_i_p_t_i_o_n:

     Compute an object to be used for plots relating to the given model
     object.

_U_s_a_g_e:

     preplot(object, ...)

_A_r_g_u_m_e_n_t_s:

  object: a fitted model object.

     ...: additional arguments for specific methods.

_D_e_t_a_i_l_s:

     Only the generic function is currently provided in base R, but
     some add-on packages have methods. Principally here for S
     compatibility.

_V_a_l_u_e:

     An object set up to make a plot that describes 'object'.
