Install MySQL

  1. Download MySQL (use the below pictures as a guideline, only, because the format and URL of the MySQL website may change over time, or Click here to use our version - 5.5.27 -- 32-bit)








    OR







  2. Run the installer


  3. If you get the following error message, install dot net!


    Install dot NET
  4. Click install MySQL products


  5. Read license and click next


  6. Click on the buttons as the following screenshots below illustrate (i.e. continue through the installation process)


























  7. If you wish to have MySQL act as a server for computers on a network, then keep the settings as is, and skip to the next step. If you don't understand the previous sentence, or just want to use Koala on your local computer, then follow the below screenshot:




  8. Select a "root password" for your computer's MySQL database




  9. Create a user account for Koala to use








  10. Continue clicking through the installation, following the below screenshots








  11. Create a database "schema" for Koala to be installed to


















  12. Give the user account you previously created for Koala permissions for the database "schema"
