Amir Hossein Birjandi

Ph.D. Candidate

Mechanical Engineering

University of Manitoba

My research interests are experimental fluid dynamics, innovative renewable energy technologies, and field measurement. The main research topics that I have worked on include understanding the influence of blade surface contamination on the performance of wind turbines, high kinetic water turbines for distributed small hydro run-of-river applications, and designing a thrust vector control using deflecting vanes.

With more than 6 years industrial experience, I have worked in aviation industry, wind energy, hydro, and consulting sections. Please brows other pages of my web site to find out more about my academic and industrial backgrounds.
