Biography

Dr. Aleksandra Glogowska received her Master of Science degree from the Department of Human Genetics, Polish Academy of Science and Environmental University of Poznan in Poland under the supervision of Prof Dr. Ryszard Slomski.  Shortly after, she joined Dr. Thomas Klonisch in Germany, to study thyroid cancer research.  In 2004, Aleksandra moved to Canada to pursue her Philosophy of Doctoral degree at the University of Manitoba working on the function of EGF like ligand in cancer.  Aleksandra worked for Cancer Care Manitoba to study genomic instability in cancer for her Post-Doctoral Fellowship training.  To continue on the research path of EGF system in brain cancer, Aleksandra was recruited to the Department of Human Anatomy and Cell Science at the University of Manitoba as a Researcher and Instructor.
