My research is on ocean surface roughness in the marginal ice zone; Use of active microwave scattering and passive microwave emissions from ocean/ sea ice surface; Study the electromagnetic response of sea ice surface roughness; Use of various microwave remote sensing methods; Statistical treatment of sea ice surface roughness data collected through airborne, shipborne and insitu methods; Investigation of ocean-sea ice-atmosphere coupling evident through surface roughness; Aerodynamic and physical roughness analysis.
I work on the data collected during Circumpolar Flaw Lead (CFL) System Study in 2007-08 in Southern Beaufort Sea and Amundsen Gulf of Arctic Ocean of Canadian High Arctic.
