The University of Manitoba Fort Garry Campus is located in the South
end of Winnipeg, along the historic Red River. There are currently more than
60 buildings on campus, spread out over 233 hectares. Founded in 1877, the
U of M is Western Canada’s oldest University. Over 23,000 undergraduate
students currently attend the U of M, in addition to almost 4,000 graduate
students. More than 30 high-tech companies have facilities located on
campus, as do both the Federal and Provincial governments.
