March 1, 2012: Dr. van Wijngaarden presents the latest research from our group at the University of Regina. February 24, 2012: Dr. Ming Sun leaves the group to start a new job in Tuscon. February 12, 2012: Felix Chen travels to the Canadian Light Source to finish his experiments on 3-oxetanone. February 3, 2012: Felix Chen passes his Ph.D. Seminar! Congratulations! December 1, 2011: Professor S. Shipman (New College of Florida) visits our lab to do experiments. November 4, 2011: The entire group departs for Waterloo to attend the Annual Symposium on Chemical Physics. Dr. van Wijngaarden will be presenting a plenary lecture and both Felix and Ming are presenting posters at the meeting! October 28, 2011: Dr. van Wijngaarden presents the latest group research at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. October 27, 2011: Cody van Dijk presents his summer research project at the annual VP Research Poster Competition at the University of Manitoba. October 20, 2011: Group member Cody van Dijk receives the Governor General’s Silver Medal at convocation!!! Congratulations Cody! September 12, 2011: Cody van Dijk joins our group as a technician to continue his research on substituted pyridines. August 29, 2011: Our paper on the synchrotron based infrared spectrum of furan was accepted for publication in the Journal of Molecular Spectroscopy.  July 23, 2011: Dr. van Wijngaarden is elected to the Canadian Light Source Users Advisory Committee for a 3 year term. July 5, 2011: Our chirped-pulse microwave study of trifluoroethylformate was accepted for publication in the Journal of Physical Chemistry A. July 5, 2011: Our manuscript on ring inversion tunnelling in the microwave spectrum of silacyclobutane was accepted by The Journal of Physical Chemistry A. June 20, 2011: Dr. van Wijngaarden and Felix Chen are off to Columbus, Ohio to attend the 66th International Symposium on Molecular Spectroscopy. Felix will be giving 2 talks! May 31, 2011: Felix Chen placed 2nd at the University of Manitoba Faculty of Science Poster Competition! May 11, 2011: Dr. van Wijngaarden received a grant from the University Research Grants Program in support of our new waveguide microwave spectrometer project! May 6, 2011: Felix Chen has successfully completed his Ph. D. Candidacy Exam! May 2, 2011: Cody van Dijk has re-joined our group for his second stint as a summer student, this time funded by a U of M Faculty of Science USRA Grant! April 16, 2011: Silacyclopentane manuscript accepted by The Journal of Molecular Spectroscopy! April 1, 2011: Former member Dr. Galen Sedo is a new faculty member at the University of Virginia at Wise! March 23, 2011: Propiolactone manuscript accepted by The Journal of Molecular Spectroscopy! February 27, 2011: Dr. Ming Sun joined our group as a Post-Doctoral Fellow! Februrary 18, 2011: Dr. van Wijngaarden gave a research talk for the College of Natural Sciences at the New College of Florida in Sarasota, Florida!
