World Wide Semi-Offical Airmail Stamps
Selected excerpts from the 1959 Sanabria airmail catalogue listing semi-official airmail stamps and similar issues. These stamps are generally not listed in the Scott Standard Postage Stamp Catalogue widely used in the United States and Canada.
The Sanabria catalogue was published in New York City and the values are expressed in United States dollars. It is important to note that the 1959 values in these catalogue listings cannot be translated to current prices. The modern values would be affected by many factors beyond simple dollar inflation and would be wildly different for different stamps.
One USD in 1959 is estimated to be approximately USD $10.45 in June 2023.
