Small or low shrubs with three (Rhus radicans L.) to many leaflets. Light colored perfect and imperfect flowers with 5 sepals, 5 petals and 5 stamens. Fruit is a drupe. Poison Ivy (Rhus radicans) belongs in this family.
Note: Some authors put Rhus radicans in the genus Toxicodendron (Toxicodendron rydbergii (Small) Greene.).
