Only one species in this family is found in Manitoba - Phryma leptostachya (Lopseed). This is an uncommon plant found in the south eastern portion of the province. Tall perennial (50-100cm) with few or no branches. The inflorescence is a spike-like raceme with purple to with flowers subtended by 3 small bracts.
