Instructor Checklist

Before lab begins:

• If needed, start 60 °C water bath; add water if needed
  
  

• put away glassware from drying rack
  

• Set out the following on lab benches:

• lab kits for each student

• 1 bottle of stain for each student
  
• microscopes for each student

• Make sure the following are out on the main lab bench

• a box of gloves

• box of Covid masks.

• Uncover photomicroscope and computer. Turn on monitor, computer, and microscope

• Check temperature on 60 °C water bath

After lab is finished:

• Turn off  60 °C water bath

• Put away lab kits
  
  

• store stain in reagent cabinet by door
  

• cover microscopes
  
  

• wash glassware and put into drying rack
  

• Shut down computer, turn off monitor, turn off microscope; put covers back on

• Make sure lab is locked when you leave
