WINNIPEG REPEATERS

Manitoba has many repeaters operating on the 2-m and 70-cm bands, as well as other frequencies.

The table below lists some of the repeaters in Winnipeg, starting from our own, VE4WMR. The output frequency is the frequency that the transceiver is set to. The plus sign after that frequency indicates the 600 kHz offsest for the input frequency: either positive (+) or negative (-).

Autopatch
An autopatch is an electronic device to access an outgoing telephone connection from a transceiver capable of producing touch tones.
CTCSS
CTCSS (Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System) is an electronic circuit that is used to select a users with the same tone on a shared two-way radio communications channel with more than one user group.
Emergency Power
Backup power to run the repeater even if the mains fails.
