LIMITED TEST EQUIPMENT, BUT BIG ACCESS

UMARS has some rudimentary test equipment. However, the strength of UMARS is in its location at the University of Manitoba whose research facilities may also be available to UMARS. With the permission of a research professor, our members may have access to the latest research and test equipment that would not be available otherwise.

For example, the antenna lab at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is one of the best such laboratories in the world. With the permission of Professor Greg Bridges, patch antennas have been developed for the Zig-Bee smart mesh networking by VE4WK's students.
