Documentation
These fields contain links to documentation files used with a program
or a
package. In some cases, the links point to a directory containing many
files, rather than pointing to a single file.
Installation
This field illustrates whether a package is part of the BIRCH core
distribution (BIRCH) or has been added to BIRCH at the local BIRCH site
(local).
Launching the
program How to launch the program, from the command line or from
BioLegato.
command - The program
runs from the command line, in the style of a Unix command. The command
to type
at the command line is shown, along with command line options.
interactive - The program
is run in a terminal window as a conversational
program. That is, there is no graphic interface, but the user is
prompted for filenames, parameters, settings etc.
gui - The program is
launched from the command line (or from a launcher or graphic menu, if
available), and has a graphic interface.
BioLegato - The program
can be
launched from a BioLegato menu. Example: To launch DNAML from
BioLegato, open the
Phylogeny menu and choose 'DNAML'. This is illustrated on the DNAML
documentation page as 'Phylogeny --> DNAML'.
