Baie-Comeau, Québec

Autobus J. Henri Fortier (1937 - 03 September 1949)
Started the same year as Baie-Comeau was founded. (Jean Breton 2009).

Owned by J. Henri Fortier until acquired 25 April 1950 by Albert & Elphege Guimond. Third owner was Autobus Guimond & Fils Inc. from 31 July 1953. (Jean Breton 2009).

Service abandoned 1962. (Jean Breton 2009).

Autobus Baie-Comeau Inc. (18 May 1962 - 06 September 1967)
Replacement operator. City bus service municipalized 1967. (Jean Breton 2009).

Ville de Baie-Comeau (06 September 1967 - circa 1988)
Operations undertaken 08 March 1968 - August 1983 by Autobus Desjardins Inc.. Operations from August 1983 by Autobus du Littoral Inc.. Service abandoned circa 1988. (Jean Breton 2009).

Baie-Comeau transit bus (website 2009) Transport Public (December 1992 - present)
Weekday hourly (except lunch) service. Operated by Autobus Boulay Inc. under a contract to the Ville de Baie-Comeau. Website 2011 identifies operator as Autobus Manic. (website 2009, Jean Breton 2009, photo: website 2009).

Baie-Saint-Paul, Québec
Train Léger de Charlevoix

Commuter RailwayBeginning in December 2013 the Reseau Charlevoix began operating winter weekend local passenger train service between Baie-Saint-Paul and the Le Massif ski resort at Grande-Point. Diesel railcars generally run five daily round trips Thursdays through Sundays during the ski season (seven days/week during the Christmas and Spring break periods). While the Train Léger de Charlevoix [Charlevoix Light Rail] isn't commuter rail (it does not run the full week) it is local train service for same-day return travel. (CPTdb wiki 2015).

Beginning with the 11 June 2016 schedule train service spanned Wednesdays through Sundays and provided three round trips serving La Malbaie, Saint-Irénée, Les Éboulements, Baie-Saint-Paul, Petite-Rivière-Saint-François, Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré and Montmorency Falls (Québec). Some fare integration with PLUmobile for travel between Québec and Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré was also announced. (La Press 12 July 2016).

Bécancour, Québec

les Autobus Hélie (1986 - present [annually August to June])
A local scheduled bus service is operated in Bécancour, with connection to Trois-Rivières. Service generally operates co-incident with the school year. (website 2011, CPTdb Wiki 2015).

The Municipalité régionale de comté [county regional municipality] de D'Autray includes communities Lavaltrie, Berthierville and Ville Saint-Gabriel.

Minibus transit services in Lavaltrie with taxibus services reaching Berthierville, La Visitation-de-l'Île-Dupas, Mandeville, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Cuthbert, Saint-Didace, Sainte-Geneviève-de-Berthier, Saint-Gabriel-de-Brandon, Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola, and Ville Saint-Gabriel. Sponsored by MRC de D'Autray and Ville de Lavaltrie (municipalities). “The buses are operated by Orleans Express in the sector of Saint-Gabriel. Drummondville, Québec

Autobus Drummondville Limitée (1936 - 1987)
Operations established in 1926 by Donat Bourgeois initially to serve rural route between Saint-Leonard d'Aston and Sainte-Angele de Laval. Drummondville town service begun 1936. Single route service. Company, organized 1937, also an intercity carrier. (TC76, RS, Jean Breton 2009). Subsidiary of Autobus Bourgeois Limitée (JB). (TNC84 also notes that Drummondville had a private enterprise transit carrier).

AD Ltée the contract operator 1987-2009. Initial contract for a three-route system. By 2007 system comprised of six routes. Multi Transport Inc. East Broughton, Québec

Quebec Asbestos Co. (circa 1924 - circa 1941?)
street railway/light rail Peschkes indicates that there was probably an electric tram line at East Broughton, operated by QA. Ex-Sherbrooke birney cars were sold to Halifax by QA in 1942. Since the line escaped the notice of federal regulators (and traction historians), if it existed, it is likely the service was “private”.

Suburban service between Granby and Lac-Brome area including Waterloo, Foster, Tiffany Beach and Knowlton (Jean Breton 2009).

Verreault Transport Ltée (10 April 1947 - 1985)
Aquired AAL suburban service 1947. City service started 17 December 1948 by acquisition of industrial centre employees bus service of Autobus Arthur Bruneau. Expanded to five routes and opened to the public 01 February 1949. Company received a permit to operate city service at Waterloo 15 November 1966. (Jean Breton 2009).

Granby bus 1994 Autobus Verreault Ltée (1985 - 2005)

Note

ferry Île-d'Entrée [Entry Island] is connected to Cap-aux-Meules on the main archipelago by a twice daily ferry service operated by Traversiers C.T.M.A., a division of Groupe C.T.M.A.. The enterprise was founded 28 May 1944 as Coopérative de Transport Maritime et Aérien (website 2015).
