Biography
I received my BSc in electrical and computer engineering at Hanyang
University (Seoul, South Korea). In my senior year, I was fascinated
by how neurobiological system can be modelled and interpreted
mathematically, so I decided to study the brain. Then I completed
graduate training in cognitive neuroscience at McGill University
(Montreal) under Dr. Antonio Strafella and Dr. Alain Ptito. After earning
my PhD, I continued my training as a post-doctoral fellow in functional
brain imaging at the University of Toronto, once again under Dr.
Strafella. Then, I moved to New York to join in Dr. David Eidelberg’s
group (Feinstein Institute for Medical Research) and trained in
multivariate brain imaging analysis. In 2014, I got appointed to an
Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba and I am currently
investigating brain imaging-based biomarker and therapeutic brain
stimulation.
