High Imperial,

ca. 100-300 AD

High Imperial lamps date between ca. 100-300 AD. Characteristically they have a small discus and wide shoulder which leaves less room for decoration. They are equipped with handles and have short plain nozzles. The craftsmanship, compared to the Early Imperial or volute lamps, is of a lesser quality.
