Research Opportunities
Masters & Doctoral
I am always looking for excellent students who share my passion for critical examination of collaborative, cross-cultural, and inter-governmental planning. I am particularly interesting in working with students who are interested in exploring Indigenous peoples’ experiences of urban and regional planning and who are raising questions about the possibilities decolonization and reconciliation. Please consult the University of Manitoba Faculty of Graduate Studies website for application information and deadlines.
I will very likely be in a position to offer a small(ish) stipend to a Masters student who intends to enter the program in 2017/18 and who is interested in engaging in my new research project on treaty settlement lands, Indigenous-led urban property development and municipal planning policy in Manitoba (Canada) and Canterbury (Aotearoa New Zealand). If you are interested in this potential, please get in touch with me before submitting your application for admission.
