The Solar
Materials Discovery Group is part of the Solar
Army Network and involves students and
teachers from Winnipeg-area high schools working with
the Herbert Group to develop research skills and explore
new photoelectrode materials for artificial
photosynthesis. This outreach program started
through our collaboration with CCI Solar. Each
year, our high-school collaborators present their work
at the Manitoba Materials Conference.
And that's a wrap!
Our 2023-2024 SHArK North! programming was (if we may be so bold...) an OVERWHELMING success and a TON of fun, with a whopping 130 students from Daniel McIntyre Collegiate, Fort Richmond Collegiate, Exchange Met School and St. Mary's Academy!
We're also thrilled to celebrate our new partnership with Let's Talk Science! The inaugural Let's Talk Solar! High School Science Symposium was EXCELLENT! Can't wait to run it back!!!
