FOX HUNTING

Fox hunting is an old tradition in amateur radio. It involves a little radio transmitter that is well hidden, but is active by transmitting either sporadic short voice messages, or Morse code, or digital data. The object is to find it as quickly as possible. This activity is very helpful in finding unwanted jammers or illegal transmitters. It is also lots of fun to travel through uncharted territories to find the hidden radio beacons.

FOX HUNTING AT UMARS

UMARS has organized many yearly fox hunting events. Other events were designated for the Mini University.
