I am a Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics, University of Manitoba, where I have been a faculty member since 2008. I served as Department Head from 2022 to 2025. I am also a Research Fellow of the IZA Institute of Labor Economics, which I joined in 2007.

My research sits at the intersection of labour economics, health economics, and applied econometrics. I work on variety of applied topics including disability and labour force dynamics, retirement, STEM major choice, rural physician labour supply and intergenerational health outcomes.
