Pipelining

Whenever output from a program could potentially be used as input to another program, the BioLegato interfaces in BIRCH have been programmed to send output to new BioLegato windows. In this way, data can flow easily from one program to the next, to create a complex data pipeline. Data pipelines have parallels in computers and biochemistry, as illustrated below.



The tutorials below show examples of ad hoc pipelining using BioLegato.
