- CancerCare Manitoba
Since 2008, EIL and
Professor Stephen Pistorius have been collaborating on a multitude of projects related
to building systems and methods for biomedical microwave imaging applications. Dr. Pistorius is a professor at the
Department of Physics and Astronomy
at the University of Manitoba, and senior research scientist at
CancerCare Manitoba in Winnipeg.
Through a grant funded by the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, EIL is working with
Professor Elise Fear
on methods for enhancing microwave imaging reconstructions for breast cancer monitoring applications.
Dr. Fear is with the Electrical and
Computer Engineering Department at the Schulich School of Engineering in the
University of Calgary
Professor Lotfollah Shafai - University of Manitoba
Professor Lotfollah Shafai
is a Tier-1 Canada Research Chair in Applied Electromagnetics since 2002. He is the director of the
Applied Electromagnetics Laboratory
at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department in the University of Manitoba. Dr. Shafai provides EIL with support in the design of antennas for microwave imaging systems.
