All The King's Men

Winnipeg's male-voice liturgical choir

Associated with the chapel of St John The Evangelist,

at St. John's College, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada

Affiliated with the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM)

Welcome to the www site of "All The King's Men". We are a male-voice liturgical choir, associated with the College Chapel of St. John the Evangelist at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. We are also affiliated with the Royal School of Church Music. During the academic year (October-June), our programme principally comprises singing monthly evensongs (7pm, first Sunday of each month) at St. John's College. In addition, we sing Tenebrae on the Wednesday in Holy week and a mass for Ascension Day, both at St. John's. All The King's Men frequently sing Evensong and other services (Eucharist, Compline and Mattins) at other churches locally and internationally.

If you would like to join the choir or just get in touch, please find some more information below. The additional pages linked to this homepage tell you a little bit more about the choir its repertoire and other activities. We hope you find these pages informative and will be grateful for any feedback.

Membership

There are about 18 singers in the choir. We do not audition people who are interested in joining, rather, we invite them to audition us. Prospective members join us for a few rehearsals to get a feel for the repertoire and musical experience. If you are interested in joining the choir, please contact Charles Horton (director). We rehearse on Wednesday evenings, and charge a modest membership fee ($25) each academic term to defray the costs of robes and maintaining our ever-growing library of repertoire.
