Some applications may need or prefer to save lane images in addition to or in place of the full image. A good example would be to do a visual comparison of a saved lane from one image with a lane or several lanes of another image or several lanes from different images. While the default is NOT to save lane images, they may saved by setting a toggle in the Options Submenu. The lane image may later be recalled for display via the Image Submenu. However, only the lane image data are saved; band detection marks within a lane are not saved with the lane image. For a given image, if the toggle to save lanes is enabled, all lane images are saved; if individual lane images are to be deleted, you will have to eliminate them from the UNIX file system independent of DNA/GUI. Here's the process to save lane images:
Note: When the primary image is closed, the toggle to save lane images is disabled (no lane save) and must be reset after each primary image is opened.
