The meeting venue is the Fort Garry Hotel, Spa and Conference Centre, on the south east corner of downtown Winnipeg, adjacent to "The Forks" where the Assiniboine River joins the Red River. The "Fort Garry" is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2013 and, modelled after the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa, this is the only surviving "grand railway hotel" in Winnipeg.
