Program Overview

Hello everyone! Welcome to my research group webpage. See below for a brief description of my research interests.

Synthetic organic chemistry has already had a significant impact on the fields of medicinal chemistry and chemical biology, with major advancements being applied towards developing new pharmaceutical therapies and for the study and manipulation of biological systems. With this in mind, the future of synthetic organic chemistry will involve the development and application of innovative technologies in the field of organic synthesis, new strategies for targeted cancer therapies and the development of novel techniques that can be used to probe and elucidate the intricate facets of chemical biology. My research interests are largely focused on these main themes, and have an end goal of improving the process of drug discovery and facilitating innovation in chemical biology. Specifically, I’m interested in developing novel flow chemistry techniques that will aim at enhancing current synthetic organic methodologies, and focus on lead generation and optimization in drug discovery, while simultaneously focusing on the development of novel targeted cancer therapies and bioconjugation modalities. As an aspiring assistant professor, I will leverage both my academic and industrial experience to bridge the gap between chemistry and biology, academics and industry, to champion research programs that are directed at developing and applying innovative synthetic organic technologies and methods to the fields of medicinal chemistry and chemical biology.
